Protect your eyes from digital eye strain

Digital screens of all types are a common tool in the workplace. That's why it's important to protect your eyes from digital eye strain. Here are some healthy habits to learn from the IU School of Optometry:

  1. Are your eyes red or bloodshot? Remember the 20/20/20 technique: Look at something 20 feet away, for 20 seconds, every 20 minutes.
  2. Do you suffer from irritated or dry eyes? Try to blink more often.
  3. Are you experiencing difficulty focusing or blurry vision? Position your computer at a distance where you can high-five your screen.
  4. Do you get headaches after prolonged screen usage? Adjust room lighting or screen brightness to reduce glare.
